Control device petrol feeding into carburettor pipes

What’s the use of this device ?

It serves to control DIRECTLY ON THE VEHICLE, the quantity of petrol that enters any single carburetter pipe SOLEX – WEBER – DELLORTO mounted on the automobiles ALFA ROMEO

Instructions for the use

  1. Remove from the carburetters the 4 stoppers (2 of any single carburetter) and their lower pump jets; be careful so that the respective fittings remain on their seat.
  2. Remount all pieces, i.e. those that were removed just before, onto the superior parts of any test-piece-holder support, in the same position as they were mounted onto the respective carburetters.
  3. Screw on the whole device at the place of the pump jet stoppers.
  4. Pump two or three times so that the advice fills with petrol, i.e. just until you note the first fall of petrol in any test-piece.
  5. Begin the test. Pump 10 or 20 times, and control whether all of 4 test-pieces contain the same quantity in cc of petrol, as indicated on the schedule
