Control device petrol feeding into carburettor pipes
What’s the use of this device ?
It serves to control DIRECTLY ON THE VEHICLE, the quantity of petrol that enters any single carburetter pipe SOLEX – WEBER – DELLORTO mounted on the automobiles ALFA ROMEO
Instructions for the use
- Remove from the carburetters the 4 stoppers (2 of any single carburetter) and their lower pump jets; be careful so that the respective fittings remain on their seat.
- Remount all pieces, i.e. those that were removed just before, onto the superior parts of any test-piece-holder support, in the same position as they were mounted onto the respective carburetters.
- Screw on the whole device at the place of the pump jet stoppers.
- Pump two or three times so that the advice fills with petrol, i.e. just until you note the first fall of petrol in any test-piece.
- Begin the test. Pump 10 or 20 times, and control whether all of 4 test-pieces contain the same quantity in cc of petrol, as indicated on the schedule
